“Carnavalito” FIU Miami Guitar Orchestra Fall 2014 Concerts
The FIU-Miami Guitar Orchestra, directed by Mesut Özgen, will present an eclectic program of music from Baroque to modern, as well as jazz and traditional musics from the Andes, and Colombia in two concert at the Wolfsonian-FIU in Miami Beach on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 3:00 pm and at the Wertheim Performing Arts Center Concert Hall in Miami on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 4:00 pm.
Among the highlights are “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky, “Libertango” by Astor Piazzolla, “Spain" by Chick Corea, “Fingerportrait 1” by Thomas Clippert, "Waves" by Carlos Antonio Jobim, and "Fiesta de Negritas" by "Luis Eduardo (Lucho) Bermudez.
